OUR MAJESTIC TROPICAL JUNGLE

The Amazonia or Amazon Region is our own piece of the world’s most important rainforest. Located on the southern corner of Colombia, the Amazonia is one of the most biodiverse areas in the country and the entire world. You can count on heavy rains, numerous rivers and creeks, warm temperatures and dense vegetation everywhere you look.

This region has 18 protected areas and it hosts the greatest number of animal species recorded on national territory. Numbers are around 1.158 bird species, 193 amphibians, 195 reptiles, 1.400 fish species and 210 mammals, including some incredible endemic species such as the pink dolphin.
